Climb the Rating Ladder Online Courses Overview
DMV Chess offers seven online course options.
Six of these courses are made for kids, while one course (Wednesdays) is for adults.
Courses involve weekly USCF-online-rated games followed by postgame analysis together as a class. If additional time remains after all games are analyzed, the coach will engage the students in another lesson or activity (i.e. tactics training, GM game analysis, etc.).
Current instructors are National Master Justin Burgess (Mondays), National Master Dennis Norman (Tuesdays), National Master Sam Martin (Wednesdays), International Master Joshua Posthuma (Thursdays & Fridays, advanced groups), USCF Expert & Chess Author Kevin Stokker (Fridays, 400-1000), and USCF Expert Epiphany Peters (Sundays).
Explore our offerings below to find the best fit for you/your child. Courses are labeled based on rating range and day of the week.
