DMV Chess's Summer Camps will have at least two staff members: Coaches NM Nikolas Theiss (USCF: 2148) and Josh Hiban (USCF: 1912). Additional coaches may be hired based on attendence.

During camp, students will get a chance to make new friends playing bughouse or blitz, play USCF-rated training games, have their games analyzed by one of our coaches, learn from Grandmaster games, and solve training exercises both individually and as a team. Check the "Sample Camp Schedule" for what a typical day of camp could look like.

Each camper will receive a personal email after the camp is over with Coach NM Nikolas Theiss's impressions of their strengths and weaknesses as well some specific training suggestions they can follow to improve at home.

Free early drop-off and late pick-up options are available upon request.

A single camp is five consecutive weekdays. We're offering five different camps over the summer!

You can reserve your child's spot in a camp by paying a non-refundable $100 deposit. Or if you want to pay in advance, you can select the number of days/camps your child wants to attend from the drop-down menu on the right and enter specifics into the text field.
